It doesn’t matter where you live, who you are or what you do for a living - if you are a homeowner, at some point you will need to hire the expertise of a professional pest control service.

The truth of the matter is that wildlife and insects will find a way into your home, one way or another, and they don’t care if you mind or not.

Being proactive and having a maintenance contract on your home will make it much more difficult on them, in the long run, and give you peace of mind in the process.

Especially in Virginia Beach, nothing is more frustrating than discovering that you have termites, rats or other pest and vermin living under the same roof as you.

And if you’re the worrier-type, it may keep you lying awake at night, wondering what is lurking in the shadows – waiting to share your cozy, warm bed with you.

Many of us are not big fan of bugs, spiders, critters or creepy crawly things, so if the idea that they are breathing the same air as you bothers you… well, it might be time to do something about it.

We have enough pest and bug stories to write a novel, but we also know that we don’t have that kind of time on us, today. Simply stated, when you discover that you have infestation problems under your roof, it can get expensive real fast.

One customer found out the hard way when they first moved into their first house. We uncovered a termite issue that the previous owners did not address.

This cost them over $600 in repairs to fix the termite issue because there was no pre-existing contract on the home. They hadn’t even addressed the home improvements that they wanted to make to the home yet!

Another customer discovered that their home had rats. Yes folks – RATS! You might be thinking “How nasty does it get?” but in this area, it is very common.

Those little buggers are expensive and made even more of a mess in their path of destruction as they eat through wood. The homeowners found a rat had eaten its way through their garage wall, into the kitchen and chewed a hole in a partition wall to lay a nest of baby rats.

Say it isn’t so!!! Yes, so unbeknownst to them, they had gone from 0 rats to having 7 rats in the home… just like that! In the wake of this rat’s path, it ate through wires and insulation on their stove, ripped a hole in the dishwasher and chewed its way through a few layers of drywall. The range and dishwasher needed to be replaced and repairs needed to be made to both walls.

When you hire a team like us, depending on the size of the job, you may have anywhere from 1 or 2 technicians, to a whole team of guys who will show up to amend the problem. In this one home’s case a team showed up to set up T-REX traps along the eaves and we threw out rat and mice pellets in the attic crawlspaces and far corners of the home, something that many people wouldn’t think about.

We also added rat bait squares along the outside of the house, which when a rat or mouse would eat it, they will get thirsty and go find water, only to bloat and die when the bait would expand. In this industry, it is a thing of beauty!

Once the team set the traps, we wait for the magic to happen. The house suddenly becomes Armageddon for rats and mice! It doesn’t take long for these little buggers to find the traps that were set.
